James Robertson's new article, "A content management project presents unique challenges" is worth a read if you're venturing into CM-land. Robertson defines a number of issues that need specific attention in a content management project, including: focusing on content, treating the CMS as a toolbox, not a pre-assembled product, dealing with the range of staff, encouraging staff to contribute content, and integrating the system with the rest of the organization.
